Trying My Luck on Eyeshadows :)

hello pretty!

if you've read some back posts on this blog, i've said that im really
dumb dumb when it comes to eyeshadows :p

but i really want to learn how to apply it!! that's why last week i bought a cheap
eyeshadow palette for practicing. i bought a "generic" palette because i want to work on my eyeshadow skills first before splurging on a bigger palette :)

so this palette is just Php50 ($1)
its made in china, the name is Qianyu Make-Up

 it contains 12 small eyeshadows
all of the shades have shimmers! :) they're really pigmented and pretty!!

but they're a bit powder-y and you really need to blend it well because it can be chunky when applied *i don't know how to explain it* LOL
i used the urban decay primer potion underneath the eye shadows so that it won't crease and for it to last long too  :)

i've labeled the palette for swatch reference
*without primer*

and of course i tried playing with this palette!
heehee this is the look i made

i used shades A3,A6,and B6

hahaha i need to practice more! i think i'll buy another palette from this brand,
i like it a lot! :)

what other cheap palettes do you suggest??

Hi, Cha. I'm happy that you like Quianyu as well....UDPP helps a lot....I have tried these shadows sana UDPP and it was a disaster on my oily lids....I have always thought that makeup need not be uber expensive and I love you for being as adventurous as I am on this note. There are tons of Quianyu palettes available, most of them with sparkles on...Enjoy!

I actually use this too to practice my eyeshadow and blending skills. I suggest you sort of swirl your brush against tissue or the back of your hand before putting on your lids so that it's not too "chunky"/uneven :)

I think you do a good job with eyeshadows! Make up is def something with practice though.. I look at my old blogspot pics compare to now and I see an improvement for sure... I recently bought Amuse from www.cherryculture.com and it was on sale, cheap and the pigmentation is not bad! good luck :D

looks like there's a good color payoff based on the swatches... i say not bad for something cheap... I'd buy it too if I was still there in the P.I... oh how I wish I can go home & experiment with PI brands... =)

I love Qianyu palettes! They're cheap and the shades are so pretty, not to mention that they're pigmented as well. Haha! We're so alike. I also don't know how to apply eyeshadows. I'm still trying though.
