HG Alert!

hello ladies!
today i'll share with you a new favorite, well it's more of a new HG product!
don't you just love it when you discover a new favorite/HG?! :)

my new HG is Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge in Cabo Coral :) you know im a big sucker for peach/coral blushes or lippies and this pot rouge hits the spot! Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Cabo Coral is from the Cabana Corals Collection. It is described as a pink nectar shade, for me its a true peach shade with tiny hint of pink.

It is my first time to try a pot rouge and i loved it instantly! I have only tried one cream blush and it is from NARS, i loved it but the staying power didn't impressed me a lot. So i thought maybe cream blushes don't stay long on my skin.. Then i tried this pot rouge and it stained my cheeks for hours! :) love it so much!
the pigmentation is also gorgeous on my lips! i just need to moisturize first cause i find it a bit drying on the lips.

i use my etude house stippling brush for cheek application and i use my fingers for lip application haha..
i know, its unhygienic haha but i really make sure that my fingers are clean when i dip it into the pot :)
im soo lazy to use a lip brush :{

overall, this pot rouge is definitely HG material! i would love to purchase another pot rouge soon ^_^
i think Bobbi Brown is starting to be one of my favorite brands. i don't know if its a good or a bad thing cause now i just want to hoard try more Bobbi Brown haha. :)

im really sorry for not updating like before.. i don't know but im starting to get very lazy busy. haha..
im thinking of getting a new blog that would concentrate on food.. and im afraid i would leave this baby beauty blog behind :( well im not yet sure of that, its just blogging about beauty is not my cup of tea nowadays (OMG what is happening to me?!!) its weird.. i still have the love for cosmetics and all, its just blogging starts to be more of a chore than a pleasurable past time :( i hope this is just a phase cause i really love beauty blogging. :)

New Lip Combo :)

i hope you're having a fantastic monday ^_^ 

let me share a new lip combination that im really loving right now. its MAC Shy Girl lipstick topped with NARS Chelsea Girls lip lacquer. i have to admit, im not a fan of MAC Shy Girl l/s before because i thought the shade is not a good match for me but i think im starting to like it.:))  plus my Shy Girl melted a bit on its tube that's why i don't use it that much. :c

however when i got chelsea girls few weeks ago, i thought that it would be a nice gloss on top of shy girl.. they almost look the same, its just chelsea girls has more pink tones while shy girl has more peachy tones.
chelsea girls also looks milky when applied and i like the effect it gives :)

 

it definitely looks a lot better in real life :)) haha.

NARS Lip Laquer and A Tag :)

hello everyone! 
im really sorry for sloooooooww updates. life is just busy busy busy :p

so anyhoo.. i've been lemming for a NARS Lip Laquer for a long long time that's why i didn't think twice when i placed an order at sephora a few weeks ago. i got the shade of chelsea girls cause im a nude-neutral lips kinda girl. heehee. 

It is described by NARS cosmetics as a lip lacquer that contains high shine formula with sheer pigments of color. This is actually not a lipstick in a pot; its more of a lip gloss in a pot :)

loves

**the nude beige shade of chelsea girls, i love that chelsea girls doesn't have glitters :)
**it contains just right amount of stickyness - its a bit sticky but not like those of a mac lipglass
**doesn't fade fast.
**doesn't make my lips dry :)

things to consider

**it has a slight plastic-y smell but it does fade after some time.

**needs a lip brush! im not comfortable applying it with my fingers.:)

overall, i la-la-love it!! :)

~hmmm.. i could cry over this question hahaha. i guess before i was so eager to grow up, did wrong things at the wrong time with the wrong people. if i could go back, i would take time and just enjoy being young :)

~too many to count!! i feel its the always a best moment when i laugh with my friends, spend time with my family and my love.im cheesy like that hahaha.

3.What do you miss from your childhood?

~i actually miss living like a child. just playing around,always happy, and not worrying about what tomorrow brings. now its a lot complicated, one big wrong move and it can ruin my life hahaha

~NARS! :) my favorite foundation,blush, and lipgloss are all from NARS :)

5.What's your skincare must haves?

~moisturizer with SPF (i know a sunblock is a must have but i haven't found a face sunblock that i would love to use everyday , that's why i stick with a moisturizer with SPF  heehee :p )

~lip balm, chapped lips = unattractive :)

~a trusty facial cleanser and make up remover.

6.What's your go-to makeup?

~ this is how i do my makeup almost everyday: moisturizer, foundation, concealer, powder, blush, lip balm, lipstick or gloss,gel eyeliner, mascarra (no eyeshadows for me :p)

7.What's the one thing you wish you could do but can't?

~i wish i could give the poor the better life they ought to have and i wish i could give the bad people the punishment they deserve.

8.What was your childhood dream and what happened to it? (Did you abandon it, are you working on it, or are you living the dream?)

~before i really want to work in a hotel, i want to be a chef in a hotel :) thats why  i studied culinary arts (thank goodness im done!) but now i think i want to work in a fine dining restaurant or have my own little cafe that serves pastries and feel good dishes :)

Speak Louder + Orgasm = Love!

hello pretty :)

a few days ago while i was playing with my make up, i discovered a new favorite combination!
that is mac speak louder lipstick (applied lightly then blotted a little) topped with nars orgasm lipgloss ^_^

so this is just a quick post... heehee
i hope you like my new combination :)


arrgh i can't wait for friday!! me and my bunch of friends will go to the beach and enjoy the sun :)
im really excited and i just can't hide it!! LOL

MAC Give Me Liberty of London + Viva Glam Cyndi

hello pretty!!
i hope you're having a fine weekend right now :)


let's start with the things from the give me liberty of london collection, i got me the shell pearl beauty powder and ever hip lipstick.. arr another lipstick from mac.. heehee.. 

it's my first time to try a beauty powder from mac given that i'm just a newbie addict :) at first i was torn between the shell pearl or nars albatross because i'm really lemming for a powder highlighter.. well now we all know who won heehee.. shell pearl won my heart because it has a hint of peach, and i looooove peach on my cheeks :) 

the texture is pretty smooth! i love it ^__^ oh at first i also thought it won't show up on my nc40-42 skintone but it did! gorgeous highlighter! its not very obvious on the picture but its really pretty in actual :)

the ever hip lipstick is a creamy light coral shade from the cremesheen family. i am definitely wearing ever hip more this summer! it looks fresh and light, absolutely my official summer lipstick :)

i also got the viva glam cyndi lipstick, its a light reddish coral shade from the lustre family, you know what im starting to love the lustre type of lippies! heehee, im loving the glossiness they bring :) the viva glam cyndi is my type of red, its not shocking, its subtle enough to be worn during daytime (at least for me heehee, im not fond of wearing shocking red lippies) 

im loving the signature design on the tube of the lipstick, kawaii! 

i would love to get viva glam gaga too but i really think the shade is not for me :( however the shade of viva glam gaga is also pretty! so i encourage you to try on the viva glam lippies cause its really worth it for the reason that every purchase of the viva glams goes out to the AIDS fund :)

MAC Shy Girl and Creme In Your Coffee

hello!

today i'll share the swatches of mac shy girl and creme in your coffee lipsticks.

shy girl is described by mac as a creamy neutral coral beige shade. it belongs to the cremesheen family, and it gives a good amount of creaminess and coverage :) the shade is not heavy so it gives a pretty neutral look on my lips.

creme in your coffee is also from the cremesheen family. it is described by mac as a creamy mid-tone pink brown shade. i've said on previous post that the shade is quite similar to laugh a lot, dang! im wrong hahaha. creme in your coffee is darker while laugh a lot contains more pink tones. the shade of this lippy is more on the dark side but i think it compliments my skintone just right :)

i love both of the lippies! good coverage and they're not drying my lips. yey!  ^__^ 

i have like three or four more mac posts, 
*hint: viva glam cyndi, liberty of london, mineralize foundation*

MAC Spring Colour Forecast Lippies :)

hello everyone!!

oh my, i haven't posted anything for almost a month :c lots of things came up and im busy arranging my apprenticeship this summer. turns out i'll do my apprenticeship in boracay!! im soo excited to stay there for 2 months!! wish me luck hehe..


sooo anyway im still on mac lipstick phase right now :) 
i grabbed 3 lipsticks from the spring colour forecast: fresh salmon, radicchio, and laugh a lot.

all of the 3 lippies are from the lustre family. im quite worried about it cause it doesn't provide  full coverage like the amplified/cremesheen ones. what i like about the lustre type is that it gives  a glossy finish and it doesn't dry out my lips. 

laugh a lot -- when i saw the swatches of the spring colour lippies from temptalia, laugh a lot is the first one that caught my heart hehe. it is described by mac as a mauve pink shade. 
i have to say the shade is quite similar to creme in your coffee. its a pretty everyday l/s for me.

fresh salmon -- described as sheer bright pink orange. this one i really like! it makes my lips look so juicy hehe. the golden shimmers are so cute, they're not huge chunks of shimmers :)

radicchio - sheer midtone blue mauve. i also like this one. at first i thought i can't pull off a plummy lipstick but when i tried it, i was surprised on how wearable it is!! :)

overall, im happy with the 3 lippies i got from the collection :)
i also got other lipsticks from the permanent line that i'll review soon..

mac lippies! :)

hello pretty! 
today i'll share my thoughts on my new mac lippies, i got two from my aunt and i got another one from a swap i had with sis paola :) i'm really excited with these babies cause i'm on a lipstick phase right now!! i got attracted by lipsticks so easily heehee. ~~

the shades that i got are speak louder, fanfare, and high tea.
speak louder and fanfare are from the cremesheen family, i love love the finish! its creamy and it gives full color with a hint of gloss. i find them moisturizing too! :) 

high tea on the other hand is from the lustre family, its also glossy but it gives a sheer to medium color pay-off. i don't like sheer lippies cause the pigmentation of my lips are really uneven and i would love to veil it up.but then the lustre finish is buildable so it does have coverage. not full but its alright. :)

clean poppy blue pink -for me this is a hot pink with hints of red. i don't know if i can pull this off but i really love the color!! its sexy yet cute :)

fanfare

mid tone yellow pink - this is a tamer pink shade that compliments my skin :) 

it effortlessly brightens my face.

high tea

beiged pink with pearl - its a nice everyday nude lippy with hints of pink but i wish it has more coverage :)

now my next target from the permanent line of lippies are spice is nice, kinda sexy, and angel.

but right now im soooo lemming for this one!! :) its the mac viva glam cyndi heehee.

i love lady gaga but im afraid that the viva glam gaga shade won't suit me :(
