Hair Away + FOTD

i am shy to admit it but i *unluckily* have natural monster eyebrows.haha i should always groom them or else my brows would look like a complete disaster :{ my personal preference is eyebrow wax but most of the salons only offer eyebrow threading. eyebrow threading for me is very painful, like WTF kind of pain. haha
eyebrow waxing on the other hand is also painful but the procedure is way better for me. i usually go to menage salon in trinoma or gateway for eyebrow wax but unfortunately i don't have the free time to go the mall.

so i just went to my favorite nail salon near my school to have my brows (and legs) waxed. i went to get polished! nail salon in katipunan ( i love having my nails done here ^_^ but this is my first time to try their waxing services) alas! they only have eyebrow threading.. imagine my fear haha..
so i just settled for an eyebrow threading and half leg wax.

-i dropped a tear immediately after the first threading motion haha.
-its so painful (for me) good thing the lady threads fast!
-i just had my brows "cleaned" and not shaped, i just want it to look clean and natural :)
-only Php80!

-there's pain but it goes right away. :)
-they put a soothing lotion after and it really did comfort my waxed legs.
-only Php200!

HG Alert!

hello ladies!
today i'll share with you a new favorite, well it's more of a new HG product!
don't you just love it when you discover a new favorite/HG?! :)

my new HG is Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge in Cabo Coral :) you know im a big sucker for peach/coral blushes or lippies and this pot rouge hits the spot! Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Cabo Coral is from the Cabana Corals Collection. It is described as a pink nectar shade, for me its a true peach shade with tiny hint of pink.

It is my first time to try a pot rouge and i loved it instantly! I have only tried one cream blush and it is from NARS, i loved it but the staying power didn't impressed me a lot. So i thought maybe cream blushes don't stay long on my skin.. Then i tried this pot rouge and it stained my cheeks for hours! :) love it so much!
the pigmentation is also gorgeous on my lips! i just need to moisturize first cause i find it a bit drying on the lips.

i use my etude house stippling brush for cheek application and i use my fingers for lip application haha..
i know, its unhygienic haha but i really make sure that my fingers are clean when i dip it into the pot :)
im soo lazy to use a lip brush :{

i think Bobbi Brown is starting to be one of my favorite brands. i don't know if its a good or a bad thing cause now i just want to hoard try more Bobbi Brown haha. :)

what i love..
it has SPF 25, it is really non transfer, and it does last for a long time :) oh, i also love that it has a pump! this foundation gives a beautiful finish,it gives medium coverage that is not too heavy or cakey.it actually feels very light on my face! it doesn't break me out too :)  i love using my sigma SS190 brush and my fingers when applying this foundation :) i've read that some hate the scent it has but i don't seem to have any problem with it.


what i don't like..
i still need concealer for the uber dark spot on my forehead. and that's it.:p

overall i think this is a pretty good foundation however my no.1 would still be NARS Sheer Glow.
they're pretty close but for me Sheer Glow provides a lovelier finish :)
but hey, that's just for me. heehee try it and maybe it could be HG material for you ^_^

New Love + FOTD :)

still alive! :) i haven't posted anything for the last week cause my aunt got home from the US and we got to bond and shop and eat out a lot!! :p and she gave me something that i've been lemming for a looooong time...
its my new love...

ta-dah! a canon powershot G11! :)) i love love love it so much.. it is an advanced digital camera, i guess its a good start for learning advanced photography. it has lots of features (that i still need to discover :p) it takes very nice quality pictures perfect for blogging. yey! the camera itself is oh-so cute :) it looks like a mini dslr. i would love to own a dslr but i don't like the fact that its too bulky to carry around; that's why im really happy with my cute and compact G11  :)

and i also love the fact that i can turn the lcd up to 360 degrees. its perfect for my self portrait shots! :p


FOTD part. its been a while since i did my last FOTD post :) my face is kinda puffy from all the food trips we did last week haha. :p

Surprising Favorites + F21 Haul

i have a bad habit of buying random stuffs all the time.stuffs that i don't actually need or stuffs that i am just curious about. BUT surprisingly, i found 3 favorites from the random stuffs that i bought recently:

A Bonne' Milk Power Salt Scrub

-OMG, this product smells amazing! it smells like white chocolate and milk :) every time i use it i am always tempted to taste it haha. this stuff is superb in exfoliating. i use this 2-3x a week by mixing it with my j&j milk bath and its all good. :)

Zwitsal Baby Cologne

-i discovered this product from a friend, she told me that this cologne is a very good dupe for bvlgari petit et mamans perfume, and she's right! this baby smells clean and fresh :) .. i bought mine from a natasha direct seller (im not sure if this is available at department stores) for only Php80+ , its really a good buy!! now my sister is asking me to get one for her too! :)

Sunsilk Damage Repair Hair Serum

-my hair got so damaged last summer and until now it is still on its recovering period. and this hair serum really works on providing moisture to my dry hair. i love the fact that i can put this in my bag and just apply when my hair gets unmanageable :) the skin areas near my hairline (top of the forehead, nape, side of the ears) are quite sensitive, they breakout easily when strong hair products reach them and im glad that this hair serum does not break me out :)


a couple of weeks ago, my family went to forever21 :) i got very nice deals of clothes. my mom, my sister, and even my little brother enjoyed shopping there haha. here are the stuffs that i got


over sized sunnies - this makes me feel very victoria beckham-ish haha.

earrings - my camera can't capture the gold and pink hues of these earrings :( love them! they compliment my medium dark skin really well :)

2 pairs of jeggings - i love jeggings, they're so comfortable and very figure friendly *wink*. and i love these jeggings so much because they really look like regular jeans :)

a maxi dress - love love the design of this dress!

and an i love the night life tee :))

i'll definitely go back for more f21! :)

New Lip Combo :)

hello everyone!

i hope you're having a fantastic monday ^_^ 

let me share a new lip combination that im really loving right now. its MAC Shy Girl lipstick topped with NARS Chelsea Girls lip lacquer. i have to admit, im not a fan of MAC Shy Girl l/s before because i thought the shade is not a good match for me but i think im starting to like it.:))  plus my Shy Girl melted a bit on its tube that's why i don't use it that much. :c

however when i got chelsea girls few weeks ago, i thought that it would be a nice gloss on top of shy girl.. they almost look the same, its just chelsea girls has more pink tones while shy girl has more peachy tones.
chelsea girls also looks milky when applied and i like the effect it gives :)

 

it definitely looks a lot better in real life :)) haha.

NARS Lip Laquer and A Tag :)

hello everyone! 
im really sorry for sloooooooww updates. life is just busy busy busy :p

so anyhoo.. i've been lemming for a NARS Lip Laquer for a long long time that's why i didn't think twice when i placed an order at sephora a few weeks ago. i got the shade of chelsea girls cause im a nude-neutral lips kinda girl. heehee. 

It is described by NARS cosmetics as a lip lacquer that contains high shine formula with sheer pigments of color. This is actually not a lipstick in a pot; its more of a lip gloss in a pot :)

loves

**the nude beige shade of chelsea girls, i love that chelsea girls doesn't have glitters :)
**it contains just right amount of stickyness - its a bit sticky but not like those of a mac lipglass
**doesn't fade fast.
**doesn't make my lips dry :)

things to consider

**it has a slight plastic-y smell but it does fade after some time.

**needs a lip brush! im not comfortable applying it with my fingers.:)

overall, i la-la-love it!! :)

~hmmm.. i could cry over this question hahaha. i guess before i was so eager to grow up, did wrong things at the wrong time with the wrong people. if i could go back, i would take time and just enjoy being young :)

~too many to count!! i feel its the always a best moment when i laugh with my friends, spend time with my family and my love.im cheesy like that hahaha.

~i actually miss living like a child. just playing around,always happy, and not worrying about what tomorrow brings. now its a lot complicated, one big wrong move and it can ruin my life hahaha

~NARS! :) my favorite foundation,blush, and lipgloss are all from NARS :)

~moisturizer with SPF (i know a sunblock is a must have but i haven't found a face sunblock that i would love to use everyday , that's why i stick with a moisturizer with SPF  heehee :p )

~lip balm, chapped lips = unattractive :)

~a trusty facial cleanser and make up remover.

6.What's your go-to makeup?

~ this is how i do my makeup almost everyday: moisturizer, foundation, concealer, powder, blush, lip balm, lipstick or gloss,gel eyeliner, mascarra (no eyeshadows for me :p)

7.What's the one thing you wish you could do but can't?

~i wish i could give the poor the better life they ought to have and i wish i could give the bad people the punishment they deserve.

8.What was your childhood dream and what happened to it? (Did you abandon it, are you working on it, or are you living the dream?)

~before i really want to work in a hotel, i want to be a chef in a hotel :) thats why  i studied culinary arts (thank goodness im done!) but now i think i want to work in a fine dining restaurant or have my own little cafe that serves pastries and feel good dishes :)
