My December Nyx Haul :)

hello everyone!

how's your Christmas? i hope you had a great time with your family and friends :)

for this post i would like to share my nyx haul this december..

nyx products are so adidicting!! haha

i just can't stop lemming for more!

so here's what i got

i ordered 

2 jumbo eye pencils - yogurt and pots & pans

2 mega shine l/g - smokey look and beige

2 round l/g - pinky natural and mauve

and

2 round l/s - fire and tea rose

 the glosses are love!! they're not uber sticky and they have a decent lasting power :)

my only rant is the lime or fruity smell heehee

it reminds me of a car perfume, but then the smell goes away quickly :p

the jumbo eye pencils are love too!! they're pretty pigmented and applies smoothly on my lids, but i still need to apply a primer first because it creases :(

and its quite soft, im afraid that if i applied it with a heavy hand it will be squished on my lids LOL

can't wait for more nyx!! :)

the end of 2009 is fast approaching!!!!

MAC Angelwing + Nyx Rose :)

hello there!

first of all i want to greet everyone

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! 

 i wish everyone a blissful christmas and a rockin' new year! :) 

for my post today, i'll share the items that i got from swapping.

i swapped my mac brave l/s for a mac angelwing lustreglass

and my nyx circe l/s for a nyx rose l/s..

im actually happy with both of the items i got!!

let's take a look at them one by one

mac angelwing lustreglass

 its a unique plum/purple color with gold shimmers

it really looks scary on the tube, at first i thought i couldn't wear this one..

but when i tried it on my lips, the color is more sheer and subtle.

its really nice!

 too bad its a discontinued shade from mac :(

i like its sticky-ness because it stays on my lips for a long time :)

im thinking of purchasing more of mac's lustreglass heehee

nyx round lipstick in rose

this one is a nice reddish-pink shade :)

when i swatched it, i thought its semi frosted but when i applied it on my lips

it does not look frosted at all heehee

but i love the shade!

as usual, i love nyx lippies because they're very pigmented and easy to apply

but again, i wish they last a little longer on my lips :)

Food Trip: Shomal

yesterday, my boyfriend and i craved for persian cuisine!!

we love persian cuisine soo much!!

so we headed to shomal

its a mediterranean / persian restaurant

its actually a sister company of hossein, i think LOL

i forgot to take pictures of the place but here's a picture of my boyfriend
with the other tables as a background. the design of the restaurant is really nice!
its like arabian nights theme heehee

and here's what we ordered

we started with roti channai as our appetizer

its a malaysian-puffed sweet bread served with sweet curry sauce

we love it so much that we got another order for dessert haha

for our main course we had

chelou kebab share, its good for 2 persons already

Traditional Persian meal of two sticks of beef kebab

served with saffron rice and tomatoes

beef kebab is made of ground beef with super special spices heehee

its really really good!!!!!! the rice is also yummy :)

we also ordered

beef shish kebab

its marinated chunks of beef tenderloin, skewered and charbroiled into perfection

i didn't like it because i think they gave us lamb instead of beef :(

it really tasted like lamb! but my boyfie finished it anyway LOL

the meats are perfect with their garlic sauce! yumm!!
the red sauce is very spicy :p

we were soo full and satisfied! heehee

we can't wait to go back and eat more! heehee

persian cuisine is love!!!

Bare Minerals Rocker Eye Set

hello pretty! 

this is a very late post about the 

bare minerals rocker eye set

that i got from sephora

heehee i never got to play with it until now

well i tried to use it before but the result was awful :(

i looked like i got punched in the eyes! LOL

but i gave it another try heehee.

so here's my thoughts about the rocker eye kit

the set contains 3 eyehshadows and a dual ended "rock n' roll" brush

let's see the shadows one by one

first is the 1980's eye color

its a dark shimmery silver shade

i think i can wear it also for daytime, i just need to apply it with light hands

next is the rock star eye color

this one is also packed with shimmers!

its a dark gray shade

last is the black leather eye color

this one is the liner color

its blackest black! with just tiny shimmers 

im having a hard time applying this one heehee

and oh,these shadows would last for a long time because they're very pigmented!

i only need a little amount for  a beautiful eye color!!

and of course the rock n' roll brush

this brush is also nice!! its a smudge brush and a liner brush 

very useful!!

there are two tutorials in the kit, its for a soft rock look and for a heavy metal look

and there's also two techniques included its the swirl,tap,pat technique and an extreme lining technique

i tried to follow the soft rock tutorial

and here's the result

* i used primer when i made this look, i haven't tried it on my lids without primer cause im afraid the pigments would fall out* LOL

overall this set is very helpful to make up newbies like me :)

i would like to try more tutorial kits bare minerals!!

and im excited to try this look on club hopping nights!! :)

What Im Lovin' Right Now + EOTD :)

hello!

i would like to share a product that i really really love right now

its the purederm strawberry yogurt pack

 its a wash off type of mask that is very moisturizing :)

my skin is on the dry side right now and this product really helps to fight the dryness.

i love love the smell of this mask! the yummy strawberry scent makes me crave for a bowl of strawberry yogurt LOL . i like that it also helps to prevent pimples. yey! :)

its very affordable, its just Php59 for 3 packs. and one pack lasts up to 3-4 uses. *for me* :)

i'll definetely buy again after i've finished using my 3 packs :)

and now for the EOTD part,

yesterday i played again with my eyeshadows and i came up with this look

sorry if its a little dirty heehee

 

i have to say im really enjoying eyeshadows a lot lately

even if im still lost when it comes to application LOL

and im thinking if i should get urban decay's book of shadows II heehee

hmmm... maybe next year :P

G-lish Blush: A Mac Dollymix Dupe? :)

hello!

im actually lemming for a mac blush in dollymix but i don't want to spend much on blushes now since my nars blushes are still as good as new :)

then last week, i saw this g-lish gelato cheek treat #03 that is pure candy pink too!!

i immediately bought it since its only Php100 ($2)

with the hopes of it being a mac dollymix dupe :p

well if its not a dollymix dupe, i still like this blush!

the shade is so cute! its very pigmented and it does stay on my cheeks for a long time!

its a little powdery but i don't mind it at all :p

the g-lish blush also has tiny shimmers, cute!

here's the swatch on my hand

i haven't seen a dollymix blush in person that's why i can't really tell if its a dupe LOL

but i wish its a close one :)

Trying My Luck on Eyeshadows :)

hello pretty!

if you've read some back posts on this blog, i've said that im really

dumb dumb when it comes to eyeshadows :p

but i really want to learn how to apply it!! that's why last week i bought a cheap 

eyeshadow palette for practicing. i bought a "generic" palette because i want to work on my eyeshadow skills first before splurging on a bigger palette :)

so this palette is just Php50 ($1)

its made in china, the name is Qianyu Make-Up 

 it contains 12 small eyeshadows

all of the shades have shimmers! :) they're really pigmented and pretty!!

but they're a bit powder-y and you really need to blend it well because it can be chunky when applied *i don't know how to explain it* LOL 

i used the urban decay primer potion underneath the eye shadows so that it won't crease and for it to last long too  :)

i've labeled the palette for swatch reference

*without primer*

and of course i tried playing with this palette!

heehee this is the look i made

i used shades A3,A6,and B6

 

hahaha i need to practice more! i think i'll buy another palette from this brand,

i like it a lot! :)

what other cheap palettes do you suggest??

Weekend haul + FOTD quick post :)

hello pretty!!

i went to the mall yesterday to buy some groceries and

 to see some cheap cosmetics too! 

*i can't afford to splurge on make-up now cause Christmas is around the corner

and i haven't started my gift shopping yet! argh*

so here's what i bought yesterday :) 

 i bough a cheap eyeshadow palette, g-lish blush, elf blush,

strawberry yogurt packs, and a chain headband :)

i was also in the mood for cam whoring yesterday LOL

so here's my fotd :) 

i used my amour blush on my cheeks

and nyx B52 topped with nars orgasm gloss for the lips

i love it! :)
